This tension forms a type of defensive armouring in our body-mind that forms to help us cope yet this also numbs us to full feeling in an attempt to keep us safe. With effective deep tissue release I work from head to toe in a fully clothed massage to leave you feeling clear, focused and more connected to your wise self. I incorporate pranic healing and other subtle energy healing techniques to support you fully, my aim is to allow you a full journey of experiencing whatever feelings and emotions are needed to be felt in this present time.

It becomes a habit to track how your body is feeling and connect it with your emotions and to notice the thoughts that follow it too. This means you have a higher sensitivity to creating change in your life as you spot the moments that require your attention to make a different decision that opens you to expression, vitality and happiness rather than the old choices that lead to stress, tension and re-inforced your false beliefs.

About Me
Briony's warm compassionate approach brings her clients to connect to truth, feel empowered and transform towards freedom.
Briony felt compelled to find answers to heal herself and now wants to show others how they too can connect, feel and transform to a genuine version of themselves. Briony spent a lot of her teenage years in overwhelm: suffering with anxiety, depression and a debilitating eating disorder that she used to mask her true feelings and needs.
Briony began her own healing journey at the age of 14 years old when she joined her first yoga class and felt so energised, clear minded and free of emotional turmoil she realised how deeply connected her mind and body were and wanted to know more. Yoga became a regular practice that lead Briony to complete a Diploma of Yogic Studies in Munger India and Certificate of Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga Arts, Byron Bay Australia. This is an ongoing journey for Briony in both her personal and professional endeavours.
In 2005 Briony began her study of Body Psychotherapy in Sydney under Robert Kirby and other local and international teachers. Briony studied Core Energetics body psychotherapy, trauma healing and many other healing modalities. Briony completed a Certificate of Counselling, Body Psychotherapy and Post Graduate Certificate of group facilitation in 2010 and a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Psychology and Sociology in 2013. Briony continues to assist her teacher Robert Kirby at his events in Sydney Australia and see clients for private sessions.
Briony has found the only lasting healing has come from being willing to stay present to all feelings (especially the uncomfortable ones) by uncovering and witnessing those that got squashed down from childhood. Briony learnt to see depression and anxiety as symptoms of a deeper imbalance. By using body psychotherapy, yoga and meditation techniques Briony has in herself allowed softness of heart where once self judgement and criticism controlled her time. Where once default patterns responded into panic and overwhelm Briony has the resources to be able to connect, feel and transform negative feelings, thoughts and emotions into positive, affirmative feelings thoughts and emotions.
Briony believes in looking at the whole picture of health: mental, emotional, physical and how these all interact in a person’s life. Briony's personal and professional love of wellness on every level enables her to hold a supportive and safe space. To balance her own life she loves swimming at the beach, jogging, cycling for commuting, making homemade health goodies such as kombucha, kefir, bush walking, dancing brazillian style zouk and other latin styles - salsa, kizomba, bachata.
